My name is Jack Burns, creator of Victoria Honker Goose Calls.
I
have been an avid goose hunter most of my life. I started hunting geese
in Southern Illinois at my uncles’ hunting clubs. The love of hunting
geese naturally led me to guiding at the clubs and eventually selling
goose calls.
Hunters
from all over the United States descend on Southern Illinois during goose
season. I sold my favorite goose calls to everyone I could. However, as
much as I loved the call I was selling, I knew I could come up with a
better call.
Sitting
at the kitchen table night after night, I designed an adjustable flute
made of PVC with a brass insert. The original ‘Victoria Honker’ named
after a small town in Illinois where I hunted near my Quad Cities home,
was an instant hit.
Constantly
working to improve my call, I now have a line of goose calls for every
goose hunter. With my adjustable calls, even the beginning hunter can
call a goose. Adjusting the call to make it longer, makes the call easier
to use.
